Dr. Blaine McCracken is a board-certified small animal surgeon (FANZCVS, Surgery) with over 10 years of experience across leading referral centres in Australia and the UK. He completed his surgical residency at the University of Melbourne and has since served in both clinical and leadership roles, including his current position as President of the Surgery Chapter at the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS). Blaine’s clinical interests include orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, minimally invasive techniques, and perioperative pain management. He is passionate about providing calm, compassionate surgical experiences for pets and clear, collaborative communication with owners and referring veterinarians. Outside the operating theatre, Blaine is a dedicated educator — contributing to specialist training programs and CPD courses across the region.
