About Vet
Dr Avril Cowman is an Irish- and Hong Kong-registered veterinary surgeon with experience across small animal, exotic and emergency practice in Hong Kong and Ireland.
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine graduate of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Dr Avril has worked in busy first-opinion and emergency settings and previously served as a Clinical Lead Veterinary Surgeon in Ireland. In this role, she supported clinical teams and mentored early-career veterinarians and nurses.
Her clinical experience includes managing acute and chronic medical conditions, diagnostic imaging, dentistry and a broad range of soft-tissue surgeries. She has a particular interest in surgery and internal medicine.
Calm under pressure and collaborative by nature, Dr Avril places strong emphasis on clear, compassionate communication. She is committed to helping owners understand their pet’s condition and providing practical, individualised care for every patient.
